TAAL
A co-creative toolkit for Human Resources used by Multi-generations in a corporate culture
DESIGN QUESTION
How might we use Design Management methods to improve collaboration across generations to foster a better corporate global culture?
OVERVIEW
For the first time in history, there will be four generations working together in the same workforce, often in the same workplace. The challenge is to improve collaboration across generations to foster a better corporate global culture and enable their working experience to be seamless. The project kick-started with a thorough market analysis to find an opportunity space for a new innovations. This is followed by identifying the user groups, conducting ethnographic research, analyzing the data, defining the user needs, competitor research, prototyping the user experience, brand development and finally creating a business strategy.
Project Timeline
10 Weeks (Sept 2019-Dec 2019)
My key role
User research, Interaction, Visual Design, Strategy and Planning
PROCESS
The process used for project is the double diamond process. This means diverging from a problem to converging then again diverging to the solutions and then delivering final end product.

KNOW CONTEXT
Secondary research involves the summary, collation and/or synthesis of existing research. It will help me support the primary research and it’s analysis for my project study. There are different methods used and applied to support the research topic with the information. The methods which will support my research base are following:
1. Pestel about workplace analysis for broader US
2. Cultural trends assessment matrix
3. Working style change matrix
4. Existing case studies
KNOW PEOPLE
Primary research involves the generation of data using different methodologies right from conducting thorough research to the analysis of it.
There are different methods used and applied to support the research topic with the information. The methods which will support my research base are following:
1. Stakeholder interviews
2. Subject matter expert interviews
3. Understanding people workshop/ mini probe / facilitation workshop
FRAME INSIGHTS
Using empathy maps the pains and gains are generated from the research. It also helps to build personas and then it leads to design criteria.
DESIGN CRITERIA
This design criteria is generated after going deeper into the insights from the personas and mapping their pains and gains on the value proposition canvas. I compared all the pains and gains for all the user groups and hence generated the pain relievers and gain creators which led me to the suitable concept of design criteria which suits all the user groups.

EXPLORE CONCEPTS
I had conducted a workshop in the class with my fellow classmates to understand which concept had the potential to be taken forward for this topic. This exercise was helpful and I converged tow concepts into one concept and did a lot of brainstorming later to understand the potential of the proposing concept.
CONCEPT WORKSHOP
After prioritizing the concepts with the help of 2 X 2 matrix tool, I finalized 3 concepts and I organized the workshop for my peers on the basis of those 3 concepts.
REALIZE OFFERINGS
Creating value proposition, 17 ZAG questions and then framing the solutions with prototyping development.
FINAL SOLUTION
The final solution for this project is a co-creative toolkit for Human Resources in the corporate culture to bridge the gap between multi-generations working in the same working culture.

ONE PAGER
REFLECTIONS
Through this research, I realized that half of the time is spent in the workplace and how can it be encouraged to be more together physically and act collaboratively. And every individual needs self-awareness and reflection about different attributes. And the team culture nurturing and positive growth is very important in a workplace. Also, the workplace culture needs to embrace all kinds of diversity, encourage positive environment and work collaboratively with all multi-generations.
